My Story

Alaina holds a MA from Columbia University and a BA from Rutgers University, practicing yoga for almost twenty-five years has helped her parent a medically fragile son, be a teacher of students with disabilities, transition from pregnancies to menopause and find ease with stressors in life. Yoga has helped her connect to her true self and has truly changed the way she lives.  She has been teaching Yoga since 2015, is an active mother (of 3) and wife. Alaina received her 200 hour certification in 2015 through Yoga Education Institute with Tula Yoga in Aberdeen, NJ and a 50 hour prenatal yoga intensive through Nectar and Nurture Yoga in Lawrenceville, NJ. She completed her 500 hour certification in May 2020 with Tula Yoga and has completed multiple trainings in postpartum yoga, yoga for perimenopause and menopause, and parent and baby yoga. She coaches women who are in Perimenopause and has created a signature process, “Movement to Menopause”. Her yoga classes focus on breath and movement, fostering a sense of using the breath to deepen and be present. Having been a public school teacher for over 25 years, Alaina also fosters friendship and light heartedness in each workshop and class while helping you feel like yourself.
